So I've been terrible at this thing. Unfortunately, my sister is gone (well out of the country) and I promised her I'd try to keep this updated. To do so properly, I need to write one LONG update post (more for my benefit)...
So where have I been you ask?
Well, May looked something like........THIS........
First weekend, I think I was at home...not sure..don't remember.
Second weekend, Mother's Day. We went down to visit my mom and my grandma. Got a great, nifty, digital video camera that can go 10 feet under water - for my birthday....
Third weekend, baby shower for a co-worker and then a birthday dinner with my parents at Who Dats where I ate a ton of crawfish (don't know if I should blame them for what happened next....) I spent my birthday being lazy and doing some house work, but not a whole lot. Then, around 10 I try to go to bed, but I'm in such pain that it's not possible. Fastforward to 4 AM, when I wake Hubs up and tell him he's taking me to the ER. And that begins the kidney stone story.
Got out of the hospital on Wednesday and was baby-ed the rest of the week/weekend. My mom helped me clean the house and decorate and get it ready because we were having company Memorial Day weekend. She's an angel I tell you!
Fourth weekend, I laid around and did a little house work...I went to the new contemporary worship at our church on Saturday. I probably have more to this story. I'm asking for prayers around this worship service because it needs to grow and prosper. I need some help deciding if I'm meant to get my hands really dirty in helping that or if God has other plans for me/this worship service.
Memorial Day weekend, after more flooding and close calls by tornados, we arrived at the end of May. Some of our dear friends from TX came to visit us and see what this state we moved to is all about. I think they were pleasantly surprised with its beauty and the number of outdoor adventures you can have here. We took them to some good places to eat. Showed them Blanchard Springs Caverns. They cooked for us. All in all it was an excellent time.
Monday of Memorial Day weekend, we travelled to visit the parents and sister. Sister is doing a Study Abroad in Belize. She left Tuesday... :( and will come back the Monday after Father's Day :). Definitely kinda sad she is gone. She and I talk daily...well until she left. She is definitely one of my closest friends and I hope she is having a blast.
Wednesday, I got my stint out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOHHOOOOOOOOOOOO! Talk about pain for two weeks! And painful getting it out!!!!!!!!!! But it's gone! And I'm drinking lots of water and praying that it stays gone!
Today, I went to see my ob/gyn. Baby's heartbeat was in the 150s. I swear her little heart beat sooo fast. kinda like her kicks. I am grateful she is doing so well! ~16 more weeks til we get to see her sweet face and hold her.
Anyways, this is my EXTRA long update. I promise I'll TRY to do better. But now I gotta run go pack for a wedding down in TX. Ohh the fun adventures we will have!!!
